Another Difficult Post

COMMON SENSE: As patriotic Christians, one of our favorite Bible verses is II Chronicles 7:14. We love it because it’s powerful, comforting and deeply satisfying. It states:

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land (II Chronicles 7:14, KJV).

When quoted, the clause that is most often accentuated is the last one, the healing of our nation. We all desire this. It is desperately needed but, to be achieved, we are required to turn from our “wicked ways.” Although this part of the verse is acknowledged, it is rarely accentuated. Nevertheless, we must be clear about what turning from our wicked ways is.

In a word, it’s repentance.

For healing to occur, repentance is required. Repentance is complete repudiation from accepting or even passively condoning evil, both personal and societal. Understanding it personally is easy, but how is this achieved in a permissive society? Not effortlessly, that’s for sure, but there is no gentler, softer way for our land to be healed.

Currently, we are facing a massive issue, one which includes the governmental coverup of everything concerning Jeffrey Epstein and other, similar operations, like the one I wrote about in The Three Commas Club.

There is massive, justifiable pressure being put on the Trump administration to be completely forthcoming about Epstein. Most of us do not believe they have been transparent. What we’ve demanded is that Epstein’s list of names be provided, but that is just the tip of the iceberg of what is required.

As part of turning from our wicked ways, we must also be provided with the names of all of those victimized by Epstein and the others. We need to know who these children were, the innocent ones who were used to fulfill the craven lusts of rich, powerful pedophiles.

We, as a nation, must know the names of the children who survived, how they were coerced into sexual servitude, and where each victim is now. We must also know the names of each child who did not survive, how they died, and what was done with their remains.

But that’s not all that is required. The wealth of these perpetrators must be seized to provide restitution for their victims—not token payments but the entirety of their wealth. Lastly, these evil men, along with a few women, must be prosecuted and imprisoned for the remainder of their worthless lives.

In my opinion, all of these things are required for repentance to be achieved and for our land to be healed. Without this, the USA may become wealthy again, but it will never be great again. In past generations, embracing a moral imperative like this would have been preached from thousands of churches across this land. This must happen once again. Righteousness requires it.
