Biden’s Lawfare Implodes

COMMON SENSE: in my opinion, the Lawfare waged against former-President Trump is dead. It has been dealt a mortal blow by Judge Aileen Cannon, in Florida. Agreeing with Trump’s legal team that the appointment of Special Counsel Jack Smith is un-Constitutional, she has dismissed the documents case against the former President. Even if the DOJ appeals the decision to the 11th Court of Appeals, Smith’s ability to try Trump before the November Elections has vanished.

Smith still has the January 6th case against Trump pending but, even if the D.C. court disagrees with Judge Cannon’s decision, the inevitable appeal process to resolve who is right will make a trial against Trump before the election impossible.

With no intention to be glib, Trump has dodged another bullet, this time a legal one.

Concerning his New York criminal trial, since evidence used to obtain a conviction has been deemed illegal by the Supreme Court, I suspect Judge Merchan will set aside Trump’s conviction. Even if he doesn’t, as spiteful as he is, the conviction will be reversed upon appeal.

Although the Democrats, Team Biden and the DOJ have done their absolute best to take Trump out, using Lawfare to do so, all of their efforts have backfired. This is great news for Trump and for the American people. The law should never be used to target anyone, including Donald J. Trump.
