COVID-19 Is a Silent but Deadly Chinese Attack on the USA

I’ve been reluctant to write this post. Whenever this happens, whenever I become hesitant, I know there’s something I absolutely need to articulate. Not wanting to be Jonah by refusing to go to Nineveh, the following is my treatise.

Throughout the USA, there is a great deal of anger about how the World Health Organization (WHO) has acted, essentially becoming the public relations agency for the Chinese concerning COVID-19. Praising the response of the Chinese to the pandemic, the WHO has made themselves complicit in the coverup of what actually happened in Wuhan, China.

This raises several questions. Why would the WHO allow themselves to become enablers for the Chinese Communists? What would motivate the WHO to do something like this? It’s a complete repudiation of their responsibility. And why would this enabling be necessary? Why not just let the chips fall where they may? After all, this was a natural occurrence wasn’t it? Or was it?

By coming to the defense of the Chinese, by essentially providing cover for the Chinese response to COVID-19, the WHO has actually provided ammunition for those who believe the pandemic was biological warfare and has nothing to do with the wet market and the nonsensical story of someone eating an undercooked bat.

With the economy of the United States decimated, as well as the economies of all of the European democracies, through this “act of God,” the economic position of the Chinese has been miraculously reversed. It was reeling just a few months ago, but now—thanks to COVID-19—the Chinese are poised to rebound and overtake the USA as the dominant economic power in the world. This will allow them to impose their will and their “Big Brother” 5G network throughout the West via Huawei.

How fortunate for the Chinese and how unfortunate for the USA and the Western democracies. Because the stakes are so high and because of the fecklessness of Democrats and nearly all of the European leaders, the Chinese are poised to get away with what they have planned to further their ambitions to dominate the world. All that stands in their way is President Donald Trump and perhaps Prime Minister Boris Johnson, if he survives his COVID-19 infection.

As precarious as our situation is in the USA, it is miniscule when compared to what the Chinese have in store for us, if they win this pandemic war. In response to this covert sneak attack against us, our response must be strong and decisive, but it must be economic and not military. Nobody wants global thermonuclear war.

Starting immediately, as well as defunding the WHO, we must focus our economic power on isolating China. We can do this by moving our manufacturing of non-essential items to friendlier countries and our essential items, like medical supplies, back to the USA. Unwisely, we have trusted the Chinese to act responsively for decades, refusing to pay attention to their commitment to dominate the world.

Having paid a terrible price for doing so, we have no alternative but to disengage from our dependence upon them—no matter what it costs to do so. Like a heroin addiction, we have become increasingly reliant on the Chinese. Also like a heroin addiction, withdrawal will be painful but not as painful as allowing them to dominate the land of the free and the home of the brave. It’s time to fight back and fight back to win.

The WHO has absolutely not been “complicit” in any cover-up of COVID-19. They have and continue to be instrumental in coordinating the pandemic response around the world. Here are the facts: On 12/31/2019 the WHO was informed of a “pneumonia of unknown cause” in Wuhan, China. On 1/30 they declared the new virus a “public health emergency of international concern”. On 3/11 they declared the virus a “global pandemic”.

Meanwhile, here was Trump’s responses during that time period: On 1/22 Trump said “We have it totally under control. It’s one person coming in from China, and we have it under control. It’s going to be just fine.” On 1/24 Trump said “China has been working very hard to contain the Coronavirus. The United States greatly appreciates their efforts and transparency. It will all work out well. In particular, on behalf of the American People, I want to thank President Xi!” On 2/4 Trump said “We are coordinating with the Chinese government and working closely together on the coronavirus outbreak in China.” On 2/26 Trump said “When you have 15 people, and the 15 within a couple of days is going to be down to close to zero, that’s a pretty good job we’ve done.” On 3/10 Trump said “This was unexpected. … And it hit the world. And we’re prepared, and we’re doing a great job with it. And it will go away. Just stay calm. It will go away.”
