FEINSTEIN & FORD Have Plotted to Destroy Kavenaugh’s Reputation

by Jack Watts

COMMON SENSE: I have a question: Where does a man go to retrieve his reputation, once it has been taken away from him? Just watching the way Judge Kavanaugh’s character, which has been stellar his entire life, has been systematically eviscerated has been astounding. Witnessing this makes it clear why the admonition against bearing false witness is one of the 10 Commandments.

“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor (Exodus 20:16, NAS).

If Christine Blazey Ford’s charge is true and not bearing false witness, which is my contention, then many things should have been done differently, including:

1) Christine Blazey Ford should make her charge openly and under oath, subject to the laws of perjury. That she has been unwilling to actually do so speaks volumes.

2) If this isn’t a carefully orchestrated setup, then why has Ford’s social media presence been completely scrubbed? That would require quite an effort. What does she have to hide? What doesn’t she want us to know about her past life, especially her high school and college years?

3) If Ford never intended to come forward, as she contends, then why did she hire a lawyer and take a polygraph test in August—a month before Kavenaugh’s hearings were scheduled to take place? What would have been the need?

4) As important as a nomination to the Supreme Court is, why would Senator Feinstein (D-CA) not confront Judge Kavanaugh directly about this, when he was being questioned by the Senate Judiciary Committee for thirty hours? He was under oath; why not ask him directly? Surprising him with it might have created a Perry mason moment—that is, if Feinstein really thought Ford’s letter had merit, which she has openly questioned.

5) If this is on the up-and-up and not an ambush, then why does Feinstein continue to refuse Chairman Grassley’s request to see the un-redacted Ford letter? Grassley (R-IO) has asked repeatedly. Why won’t Feinstein release it? This seems strange.

6) Why did Feinstein keep the letter secret for 45 days and only revealing it after the confirmation hearings were concluded? By any standard, this is unusual behavior for a seasoned Senator.

All of these questions are bothersome. How is any of this fair to Judge Kavanaugh or his family? It isn’t, of course, but in the #MeToo era, a man’s life can be destroyed by the unproven, unsubstantiated accusation of one woman. She is to be believed; he is not to be believed. It’s as simple as that and, being an old white man, who am I to even question any of this? For me to have the audacity to raise these questions is out of place to the Left, but I do ask them. I am also calling this entire fiasco exactly what it really is—Sin!
