My Prayer for the 4th of July

MY PRAYER: Heavenly Father,
This 4th of July, our 250th, we ask for Your favor.
Stretch out Your hand and bless our land, even though,
As willful and disobedient as we have been, we have no right to ask.
Our nation is split, with an increasing number who desire laws
That promote degeneracy and darkness rather than righteousness.
Instead of pursuing virtue, Your will and Your blessing,
In their repudiation of all that is honorable, just and good,
They have championed perversion, depravity and wickedness,
Calling what is right wrong, and what is wrong right.

There is little about us that resembles the ways of old,
Where great men and women stood for truth and justice,
Where the innocence of children was protected passionately.
We no longer strive for excellence; mediocrity reigns supreme.
We have become a nation overwhelmed with conflict and ill-will,
With the corrupt lining their pockets with ill-gotten gains,
Selling out the land of the free, enriching themselves with sordid gain.
They desire to legislate a way of life that is contrary to Your will.

We cannot survive traveling down this path to ruination. It’s not possible.
Only You can thwart the schemes and evil intentions of the Progressives,
Those who desire for America to become something that never
Resembled what our Founding Fathers envisioned or fought to establish.
Lord God, Almighty, stir the hearts of the faithful and bring forth revival,
Just as You have done numerous times in our illustrious past.
Stir us again, Father, to seek Your Face, to desire Your will and Your favor.
We ask this in the Name of our blessed Savior, Jesus Christ,
Amen
