National Day of Prayer

Lord God Almighty,

As the Coronavirus’ unprecedented attack upon our health escalates,

Robbing us of our peace, our serenity and our ability to travel freely,

As a nation we come before You today to humble ourselves

And to ask that You spare the United States of America

From the destructive fate that has befallen China and most of Europe.

As President Trump has wisely called for last Sunday to be

A National Day of Prayer, we unite ourselves together virtually

To beseech You to intervene in a mighty way on our behalf.

In Your mercy, reveal Yourself to those of us who love You

But also, to those who mock Your holy name, casting aspersions

On You and on the faithful remnant who remain true to You.

Bless us, Father, not because we are righteous and deserving

But because You have always been faithful and merciful

To our great nation that has been a City on a Hill for the world

To emulate for the past four hundred years. In Your kindness,

Allow the destruction from the Coronavirus to pass over us.

Because we dwell in Your shelter, allow the carnage to be minimal.

Because You are our refuge and our fortress, we acknowledge

That there is no god like You, but we also readily admit that America

Is besieged by those who loathe You, Your Son, and Your children.

In their bitter, rapacious hearts, their desire is to tear America apart

And to rebuild it in a way that is anathema to all that is good and just.

In their malice, these emissaries of Evil have used this plague to seize

An advantage and to blame the righteous for negligence and incompetence.

Because this isn’t true or fair, we ask that You foil their schemes.

Expose their malice, Father. Do not allow their evil plans to prosper.

Instead, reveal Yourself in such a profound way that millions

Of these misguided Americans will repent of their wickedness

And embrace Your Son, our Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior.

Regardless of what happens, whether we are spared or suffer a terrible fate,

We steadfastly choose to remain true to You today, tomorrow and forever.

Amen

Have you ever thought about including a little bit more than just your articles? I mean, what you say is valuable and all. Nevertheless think of if you added some great images or video clips to give your posts more, “pop”! Your content is excellent but with pics and videos, this website could definitely be one of the most beneficial in its field. Fantastic blog!

You could certainly see your skills within the paintings you write. The arena hopes for more passionate writers like you who are not afraid to say how they believe. Always go after your heart.
