COMMON SENSE: Nike has just named Colin Kaepernick the face of its 30th anniversary of the “Just Do It” campaign. In a move of brazen defiance or monumental stupidity, Nike executives have just undermined their company’s solvency. Since this is a publicly held company, the shareholders are certain to have plenty to say about the wisdom of this egregiously unwise selection. I guess I will start wearing New Balance shoes.
