Post on Israel’s 70 Anniversary

TRUMP Stands with Israel
An anniversary is the time for a special celebration, or at least it should be. On May 14th, Israel will celebrate its 70th anniversary of Independence. It will be a time of great joy throughout that tiny nation. Israel’s Independence will also be acknowledged and celebrated in the United States by Christians like us.

But there are millions who will not be celebrating—quite the contrary. They bitterly resent Israel’s existence. Although Israel is the Apple of God’s Eye, this nation of 11 million is surrounded by nearly 100 million hostile Muslims. These sons of Ishmael bitterly oppose Israel’s existence. Millions want to drive every Jew—man, woman, and child—into the Mediterranean Sea.

Equally disturbing, the United Nations, which is supposed to be fair and impartial, has championed the cause of the Palestinians over Israel for decades. The U.N. regularly denounces and condemns every action Israel takes to ensure its security. Nearly every nation in the U.N. stands in opposition to Israel—except for one, the United States of America.

Throughout Israel’s short history, with the exception of the Obama administration, America has consistently stood with Israel, and God has blessed us because we have—just as His Word promises He would.

“I will bless those who bless you, And the one who curses you I will curse” (Genesis 12:3a, NAS).

The United States has stood solidly with Israel since its founding, shortly after the end of World War II. We have done so for at least three reasons. First, establishing a homeland for the displaced Jews, who lost six millions people in the NAZI concentration camps, was the right thing to do. Second, the United States has a large Jewish population, and they have stood solidly with Israel, especially during the early days. Third, because Christians have been fully aware of the prophetic implications of the restoration of the Jews to the Promised Land, millions have supported Israel and will continue to do so. Israel can count on it.

We know it’s God’s will for us we stand with Israel. Based on the Bible and the Holy Spirit bearing witness with our spirits, nothing could be clearer. This is why our commitment is so firm—it’s God’s Will.

But there are millions of Americans who do not stand with us. Instead, they support the Palestinian cause, and they are doing everything they can to undermine Israel’s security. Sometimes, they are successful.

President Trump wisely made the decision to move the U.S. Embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, and it will open on May 14th, the anniversary of Israel’s 70th year of independence. Trump’s decision has created a firestorm of opposition. The backlash from the Left, the liberal media, militants in Gaza, and the United Nations has been overwhelmingly negative.

Although it was the right thing to do, President Trump has been bitterly denounced for his support for Israel. Because of the opposition, it is up to us, people like you and me, to stand with the President in his support for Israel. To all, let it be known that there is no doubt where we stand. We stand with Israel.
