Promised Land

Friends, today is like the days of Joshua when the Lord spoke to him to be strong and courageous.  There is much going on in the world, but we are over-comers.  Don’t give into the feelings of being overwhelmed.  I know things look bleak and the world seems to be a scary place, but remember, revival goes hand in hand with trouble.  If you are facing troubles rejoice because God is in the trouble with you and he will work things out.  If you are struggling, remember that you are a candidate for a miracle.  If your finances are a mess, shout out loud that God is your supplier and that his word promises provision.  After Moses died, God reminded Joshua, several times, to be strong and courageous.  He was facing the Jordan River and about to enter the same land that the earlier generation feared to enter.  Here was this great man of God who stood with Moses when others did not, who knew that God had given them the land, and yet he had to be reminded to be strong and courageous.  So today, I  remind you.

When you watch the news, be strong and courageous.

When you look at your checkbook, be strong and courageous.

When you get the doctor’s report, be strong and courageous.

When your heart feels heavy, be strong and courageous.

When you are confused about vaccines, medical reports and public opinions, be strong and courageous.

Remember, God is not up in Heaven wringing his hands and muttering under his breath, “Now what do I do?  What have these people gotten into this time?”

No!  God is still God, Jesus is still Lord of all, and he is still in control.  Be strong and courageous my friend.  Instead of fear, let’s look with anticipation of what God is about to do.  WhI knows, like Joshua we could be entering the Promised Land.

Joshua 1:5-7

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you. Be strong and courageous, for you shall cause this people to inherit the land that I swore to their fathers to give them.  Only be strong and very courageous,
