Strait of Hormuz

COMMON SENSE: The U.S. blockade of the Strait of Hormuz is working, and it will continue to work. There are reasons why this is such a timely strategy.

To begin with, with the Strait being narrow, until the Iranian navy and air force were destroys, a blockade was not feasible. Now that they have been, it is.

The best thing about this is, until there is a threat, the blockade will keep Iran contained without any further fighting.

Containment alone has value. It deprives the regime of revenue. Eventually, if the blockade continues, the regime will be unable to survive. It will collapse.

Because Twelver Shiites are incapable of being trusted, that is what we want. We want their stranglehold on the Iranian people to wither and die, which this blockade can facilitate.

With the U.S. Navy patrolling the Strait, oil tankers will be able to move through, while all Iranian vessels will be prevented from doing.

With the price of crude dropping, I hope we continue putting the pressure on Iran.
