The Autopen Fraud

The Autopen Fraud

The use of an autopen by the Biden administration is a real issue, and it has legs. It appears that the American people have been defrauded. This cannot be glossed over. It’s serious. It’s something that should be pursued and must be pursued.

At this point, it is Congress, probably both Houses, that will take the lead, but that’s a mistake. Their televised hearings will make for real theatre, stirring the Republican base, but little else.

What we need is for Attorney General Pam Bondi to appoint a Special Counsel to investigate the matter. A Special Counsel has the authority to empanel a federal grand jury. That’s where indictments can be handed down. Congress cannot do that. Neither the Senate nor the House has the power to indite.

If Bondi does thus, and she should, those who were responsible for nominating Ketanji Brown Jackson to the Supreme Court, will have to defend themselves. They will have to dos so, not for five minutes before a member of Congress, but through grueling depositions under oath. Biden’s aides will have to defend themselves for using an autopen to nominate Jackson, with President Biden not even being present. In other words, they will have to justify fraud.

That’s why naming a Special Counsel will work, while a Congressional investigation will not.

The Constitution requires the President to make a Supreme Court nomination, not Presidential advisors using an autopen. It seems pretty clear that Jackson’s appointment was fraudulent. This cannot stand, nor can her appointment be allowed to continue, even though the Democrats will insist that it should.

Fraud is fraud, and it cannot be allowed—not now, not ever.

We have a unique situation. With so many who worked at the Biden White House being unwilling to hold the line that all was done correctly, a Special Counsel stands a good chance at getting to the truth. Best of all, it shouldn’t take long to do so. A Special Counsel has teeth; Congressional investigations don’t. Attorney General Bondi needs to step up to the plate and make this happen. The entire mess needs to be exposed to the light of day.
