Michael Smejkal, widely known as Smudge D, is the visionary founder of Higher Power Ent. Music ministry and the Editor-in-Chief of (CHH JAMZ Magazine & TV) and partner of CHH JAMZ Collective Radio, founded by friend and partner Orlando Page 11 years prior—Smudge’s passion for faith-based creativity and outreach pulses at the center of everything he does. Born and raised in the shadows of poverty, drug addiction, and alcoholism in the corrupt city of Chicago, Smudge D lived through what many would consider an inescapable prison where he flatlined from drugs regularly. But by a miracle, his story took a divine turn when he met his wife Ally & relocated to Colorado, a move that became the catalyst for radical transformation. God lit a fire in his soul after meeting a close friend, artist, and cofounder of Higher Power Ent. (Eric Cohen) and placed him on a relentless mission: to snatch souls from the grip of darkness and usher them into the Kingdom. With unwavering drive and spiritual zeal, Smudge D is now a bold voice in Christian hip-hop and Christian media, using every platform at his disposal to glorify Jesus Christ and awaken the lost.
