Trump Needs to Develop a Filter

COMMON SENSE: I write my Common-Sense posts regularly to teach my friends and Followers. I want to help them understand the politics of what is happening at home and abroad. I want to impart a measure of wisdom, so that they will become better informed citizens.
I’ve been creating these posts for years, so long that I’ve written a book for each of President Trump’s three elections. In so doing, I have developed a sizeable following, where I receive a great deal of welcomed validation. Most of what I write is affirming, but sometimes it isn’t.
Because I answer to the Lord, who I believe has tasked me with this calling, I always tell the truth, at least as I see it. Sometimes, I’m wrong, but not often.
This brings me to today’s subject—Donald Trump posting that former FBI Director Mueller’s death was “Good.” As a person who was falsely accused by the Mueller “Russian Collusion” Investigation, Donald Trump had every right to speak out the way he did, but Donald Trump is more than an American citizen. He is the President of the United States, the titular head of the Republican Party, the change agent for the America First, MAGA movement, and the leader of the Free World. So, unlike most of us, he has dual responsibilities that are sometimes conflicting.
Because of this, here is my question: Was President Trump wise to post such a “Truth” about Mueller on Social Media or not? To help you answer this question, let me dig down and ask some specific questions:
—Where Independent voters are concerned, will Trump’s post help them be more likely to choose Republicans, or will it be a hindrance?
—With the highly-contested Midterms coming up, did saying Mueller’s death was “good” aid or hamper our chances of maintaining our slim majorities in the Senate and the House?
—In Congressional races, where Democrat campaign ads will show Trump’s post repeatedly, Republican candidates will be forced to defend something that millions find objectionable. Will this put them in an unnecessarily difficult position or not?
—With the conflict raging in Iran, where the media and the Democrats constantly berate Trump’s leadership, calling him a warmonger with anger issues, does this give them added fuel or not?
—Does Trump’s post inadvertently make Director Mueller a more sympathetic person than he deserves to be?
—Is Trump’s post something that was entirely unnecessary, something that should never have been posted?
I know how I would answer each of these questions. How about you? What do you think?
Here’s my position. I know Donald Trump doesn’t have a filter. I get that, but President Trump needs to develop one, not just for his sake but for the rest of us as well.
