WHY THE DEMOCRATS WILL LOSE THE MIDTERM ELECTIONS

As the midterm elections approach, the Democrats are salivating because they believe they will retake the House of Representatives and maybe even the Senate. They have good reason to believe this. Historically, the opposition party makes substantial gains in non-Presidential election years.
Nevertheless, I do not believe this scenario will play out in 2018. I predict that the Republicans will not lose seats in either House but will pick up seats instead. Is this wishful thinking on my part? Maybe, but there are at least four good reasons to support my hypothesis.
First, the reason why both Bush’s, Clinton, and Obama lost the midterms is because none of those Presidents kept their campaign promises. Thus, feeling deceived, their core constituencies were not energized to make the kind of effort necessary to keep their majorities. It’s different with Trump. He has been faithful to keep his promises—far more so than anyone predicted. This means his base has remained energized. This will be a huge factor in November—trust me about this.
Second, the economy is booming, and it’s only going to get better. The Democrats, who have done nothing but obstruct economic policies that are working, can’t take credit for any of it. The turnaround has come from deregulation and the tax cut—neither of which have been supported by the Democrats.
Third, the massive scandals of the Obama administration will dominate the news for the rest of the year. The weaponizing of the FBI and the DOJ can no longer be kept under the radar of the mainstream media. It’s all going to all come out, and it will be very difficult for the Democrats to run on a platform that champions corruption.
Finally, the Democrats will not gain ground because they are so smug, so arrogant, and so condescending. They scoff at normal people like you and me. They believe we should defer to their non-existent wisdom, but that’s not going to happen. The genie is out of th
