10 Promises Of God’s Endless Love

O boundless God, So high, so small, You stoop to our hearts Though Creator of all.
You call and You come as The Pearl of Great Price,
As the fullness of love, And the riches of life.
We sell all we treasure, O Pearl of Great Price,
 Now treasuring only You!

Does God love me?

Does He understand my pain?

Does He even care?

I remember thinking these very questions as I cried out to Him in the middle of the night. I vividly remember thinking, “He can’t love me. If He did, I wouldn’t be in all this pain.” A father loves his children, so why would my heavenly Father allow this pain to continue?

My father would call my sister and me into the living room of our home to sing with him. We would gather around the piano every Friday night during the time he set aside to prepare his heart for Sunday service.

We lived in the beautiful mountains of Alleghany County, Virginia. My dad had about 140-acres on the top of what we called Maddy’s Mountain. Daddy came to me before he went to be with Jesus and said, “Robin, I want to give you the best of the land.”  I was the youngest, and dad and I had grown very close over the years. There were four children, all of whom would get an equal portion of the land as an inheritance, but my portion had a well on it and it was relatively flat. For me, this is a perfect example of the love God has for his children. God wants to give us as an inheritance: the very best of the land. God’s love is the ultimate love story. He wants us to know:

God hears, God knows, God sees, God cares

  1. God is with me; I am not alone

“And remember, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matt. 28:20b).

  1. God always hears my prayers.

“On the day I called, You answered me; and strengthened me in my soul” (Psalm 138:3).

  1.  God will give me the endurance I need.

“He gives power to the faint, and to those who have no might He increases strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall” (Isa. 40:29-30).

  1. God’s love will never leave me.

“For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities nor powers, neither things present nor things to come, neither height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” (Rom. 8:38-39)

  1. God cares about my pain.

“Cast all your care upon Him, because He cares for you.” (1 Pet. 5:7)

  1. I can survive any situation because the Lord is my help and strength.

“God is our refuge and strength, a well-proven help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth be removed, and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea.” (Ps. 46:1-2)

  1. God is loving, trustworthy, and faithful.

“For his merciful kindness is great toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever.” (Ps. 117:2)

  1. God is my source of hope.

“My soul, wait silently for God, for my hope is from Him.” (Ps. 62:5)

  1. God will sustain me in my hard times.

“God is my helper; the Lord is with those who support my life.” (Ps. 54:4)

  1. God is near when my heart is broken.

“The Lord is near to the broken-hearted, and saves the contrite of spiri.t” (Ps. 34:18)

NUGGETS OF WISDOM

“I will rejoice greatly in the LORD,

My soul will exult in my God;

For He has clothed me with garments of salvation,

He has wrapped me with a robe of righteousness,

As a bridegroom decks himself with a garland,

And as a bride adorns herself with her jewels” (Isaiah 61:10).

Salvation is a free gift. There is no amount of money that will cover the cost. Jesus loves you and me so much that He was willing to die for us. We need to understand His value so that we can understand how much He values us. He knows your value. He gave His life on a cross so that you could have eternal life. Sin has a cost. Jesus sacrificed His blood to cover the penalty due for our sins. He sacrificed His life so that we could live eternally with Him in heaven. What a precious treasure to find: Christ, and this grace freely given, is of transcendent value. He has endless, unsurpassed love for you and me.
