Destiny Is Already Inside You

The fact that you are here is evidence that you have both a destiny and gifts for its accomplishment. Your job is to identify and actualize these gifts and abilities that came with your design as you employ them by serving others as Jesus did, in joyful obedience to the Father

“Where is my destiny located John” the lady asked me earlier today

“Destiny is Already Inside You!

Now here is where it gets tricky, God frequently uses the problems we have in our present calling to lead us to the discovery of who we really are. Why was Saul called to be King? There is a great destiny key for all of us revealed in this historic moment. Saul is the very first King called to fulfill the word to Abraham that he would be the Father of Kings and Nations. Eventually a whole new order of creation would be produced through Jesus Christ—a company of Royal Priests—Kings and Priests of God the Father! The key here is that you do not call yourself, God calls you. Scripture says:“Tomorrow about this time I will send you a man out of the land of Benjamin, and you shall anoint him to be king over my people Israel, that he may save my people out of the hand of the Philistines: for I have looked upon My people, because their cry is come unto me.”1 Samuel 9:16

Here is another KEY: You MUST Know and Live out your Kingdom Purpose and Assignment. This is where Favor plays a Major part! Before I became a believer when someone mentioned the word favor it was basically asking me what I could do for them. The Kingdom of God has a whole different aspect on this word. In the Kingdom, Favor is the affection of God towards you that releases an influence through you so that other people are inclined to like, trust and cooperate with you. Pretty cool huh? The oldest book of the Old Testament is Job. As such it is the first real insight into favor and how it operates. In the very first chapter we read about the phenomenal blessing that is on Job’s life, declaring: “This man was the greatest of all the men of the East” (Job 1:3). What I believe is not fully understood is how the blessing of God came upon this righteous man. There is a hint in the following verse: “Thou hast granted me life and favor and thy visitation has refreshed my spirit” (Job 10:1). Job was a man who walked under the SUPERNATURAL Blessing of God’s favor because God visited him when he prayed. What was the effect of that favor? He opened his mouth and his “words were like butter” to those who heard him. The elders at the gates sought wisdom from his mouth. Talk about the power of persuasion!

Favor is a magnet to the blessing and promotion of God. Favor, however, is always attached to a Purpose and comes with a price. You could say that favor is on the ASSIGNMENT and Not the person. Did you catch that? I ask because I did NOT for some time even after becoming a Christian. God wraps a flesh and blood servant around the assignment He favors. If you quit the assignment, the favor will go to the person God raises up to pick up the assignment. This is the story of David and Saul. Think of it. Saul’s sin involved presumption and peer pressure. David’s involved adultery and murder. Yet God would not take His favor away from David, while He withdrew from Saul! Why? Because David kept his heart right and stayed faithful to the assignment. Favor comes toward you from God to call you into His service. Then favor operates in your life as you work out the service He has called you into. Things start going right. Divine appointments abound. Synergism marks your steps. People come to you to join your cause. I call this a Divine fortuitous Intersection , where people , places and things just show up! The world will call this a coincidence or luck.

The first mention of favor in the New Testament is Luke 1:28-31. Here Mary is approached by Gabriel, whose salutation heralds Marie’s favored status in the throne room. Notice in these verses that the word ‘favor’ is repeated twice. Favor, charis (pronounced khar-ece), is a word revealing a two-fold operation of the law of attraction. The first definition describes an attraction of God to you and the second describes the release of an influence through you that inclines other people to trust, like and assist you in your assignment. When you spend prolonged time in God’s presence it is natural that at some point you conceive His desire. In fact as I mentioned in an earlier post the word

“Desire” in Latin is a two part word De: “of”, and Sire: “Father”. Literally, desire is “of the father.” You were designed with a spiritual womb that is capable of birthing God’s purposes. This is the reason for the call to intimacy and worship. God is seeking to set apart a people into whom He can birth, by the Spirit, the initiatives and the desires of the counsel of Heaven. At this same time, fallen and foul principalities seek the womb of the disobedient. Jesus taught that the tares would increase and grow at the same time as the wheat (Mt 13:26). The tares are the children of the devil and the wheat are the children of God. Both harvests multiply at the same time. If you will open your womb to the seed of the word of God you will see the manifestation of the works of God through his sons. To have an open womb toward God requires that you keep your spiritual womb closed off to every other spirit.

God will not only accomplish mighty works through you, He will also bless that which is the desire of your own heart. He will incorporate your own desires into His great plan, once you have submitted your life to the assignment He has chosen for you. This is the privilege of sons and daughters who are true co-laborers in that which the Father is doing. As Kings in the marketplace we have authority to initiate, create and call forth whatever is in line with the assignment. As I stated many people miss this amazing aspect of the call of God. When Jesus gave the talents to the three servants He did not tell them what to do. He gave them instructions and a time period to produce fruit and left them on their own to invest and multiply the gifts He gave. Then he returned and had them render an account of what they did on their own with His talents to multiply them! You have more latitude to co-create than you realize. When God made Adam, He put him over His creation and then showed up to see what Adam would name the animals. Adam was free to create within the realm of his assignment and so are you!
