EXPOSING THE LUKEWARM HEART – APRIL 6 DEVOTIONAL

by Stephanie Lacey

Come before me and allow me to search your heart. David approached me in this way. He understood his desperation for my presence and my opinion of him. He came before me and was intentional in asking me to examine him and search him. This was counted to him as wisdom. Though my beloved David was imperfect, I knew he would come before me. I beckon you to run to me my child in the same way. When my Son spits out the lukewarm he meant their hearts were not set on fire for me and they were not truly abiding in me. Those who know me and adhere to me, those who have made me their shelter will not be lukewarm. I cannot be manipulated. I know who is mine and who is not. I have told you everything in my word so that it may be well with you on the Day of Judgment. There are those that have not even acknowledged my Son’s name before men, others deny me before their own family and friends. Those who choose not to follow me will not enter into the kingdom. Don’t you know that the kingdom has come on earth? My holy spirit was released upon the earth because my beloved son took His seat next to me. This is what He meant when He said, “But I tell you the truth, it is profitable for you that I should go away; for unless I go away the Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.” My Holy Spirit is alive. And if you truly abide in me and I in you, My Holy Spirit has come unto you. I have given everything you need to walk in your true identity and authority in my Son Christ Jesus. Let not your heart forget me, let your heart be set upon those things of my kingdom, take heed and listen intently to what I speak and follow me out. You will have no excuse before me. Take up your true cross and follow after me and do not look back.

Scripture application Read all of John chapter 16 and Revelation 3:14-21

Revelation 3:14-21 14“To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God’s creation. 15I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! 16So, because you are lukewarm-neither hot nor cold-I am about to spit you out of my mouth. 17You say, ‘I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.’ But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. 18I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. 19Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent. 20Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me. 21To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on his throne.
