TRUMP Must Remain Firm About “The Wall”

by Jack Watts

COMMON SENSE: For the political elites in Washington D.C., the battle over the border wall between the USA and Mexico isn’t about making Americans safe. It’s about the 2020 Presidential election. If Trump gets “The Wall,” he will be unbeatable. The Democrats know this, but it puts them in an unenviable position.

By refusing to fund The Wall, they are determined to deny Trump a victory. By claiming that it would be too expensive, they insult the intelligence of anybody who has a brain. The $3-to-5 billion that it would cost is chump change in a $4 trillion budget.

This isn’t the only problem the Democrats face in their opposition, however. Every time an illegal alien kills a policeman or rapes a pretty young woman, it whittles away at the position of the Democrats. It appears to millions of average Americans like the Democrats are favoring illegals over citizens. Because the media tries to underplay these crimes, it infuriates nearly all fair-minded Americans. This also hurts the Democrats.

The only people who support the Democrats’ anti-American globalist agenda come from the Progressive Left. They would rather see the nation collapse than give Trump a victory.

By maintaining his position, while also showing a willingness to compromise, President Trump is gaining support—not losing it. We need The Wall and, with a massive new caravan of Central Americans on its way to the border, we need it now. If Trump caves, which he is unlikely to do, he will be vulnerable in 2020.

If he holds firm and gets The Wall, he will win. If he holds firm but is denied The Wall by Democratic obstructionism, they will experience massive defeats in the House, the Senate, and the Presidency in 2020. Either way, by not capitulating, Trump will win. He is on the right side of this issue. He holds all the high cards, so he needs to stick to his position.
